Hi Vodafone, Paulc and Zeealpal,

I recently upgraded from a Blackberry to a Lumia 925. This is a big jump so I was reading through the Windows Phone, how-to guide and the instructions that came with the phone. But I am not sure what is happening at the moment.

I snapped the micro sim out from the card and inserted it into the tray. May I draw your attention to two details,

1st picture) The top left hand corner, I have an icon that is supposed to represent signal strength, but it also has a dash through it. I have also not been able to make/ receive calls (I have inserted the micro-sim).

2nd picture) I have updated to Lumia Black. Please see the picture for the details.

I have also updated to Windows Phone 8.1.

I went to the instruction guide and I followed the steps my findings are below: http://www.vodafone.com.au/support/device-manuals?wm=man:6589,page:tro

But I still have not been able to make/ receive calls or make / receive texts.

Last of all my mobile number has not been suspended as it still works inside my Blackberry.

According to the instructions I checked the network. There is nothing wrong with the network right now.

I am a postpaid customer.

There is plenty of coverage at the address that I live in, my suburb is Merrylands NSW 2160

I have turned on automatic network selection and i have selected 4G.

I went to the home screen and the signal strength icon still has a dash through it.
