Hi,
My family and I have been in Oz on a holiday and we had to purchase a mobile broadband device just to stay connected to work and family at home in Singapore.
When I purchased the HUAWEI R216 at Vodafone Westfield Chermside, I was told by the sales staff that the device was unlocked and we could use it in other countries.
However, we're now back in Singapore and it doesn't seem to work with my local SIM card. We suspect that the HUAWEI device is locked.
Is there anything you can do about this?
The only reason why we purchased the device was that we were told that it would be able to work in other countries, including Singapore. Doesn't make any sense to purchase a device which we could only use in Australia especially when we were just there for a short vacation.
Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks in advance!
