Yesterday I renewed my contract with Vodafone after being a loyal customer for many years. Against the advice if many ex and current Vodafone customers I felt that I have never had an issue with the service, plans etc. As I upgraded I also received a new phone, Samsung Galaxy s4 (which I was really excited about and have been waiting a while to get this phone) As I currently have an S2 I required a Sim swap to the nano Sim. The representative at the store I was in however was quite unprofessional in the sense that when the Sim swap wouldn't work he seemed more interested in encouraging me to go home and sort it out 'in 24hours' as they have been having a lot of problems with their network or something (thats comforting). He did not seem at all phased by this and said I could come back tomorrow afternoon or just call 'that 155 number'. I do not have time to do either of those suggestions and furthermore his can't be bothered attitude is rather off putting. I would also like to mention that the other employee in the store and the representative helping me were putting much more effort into discussing their weekend plans and joking around in front of me than actually wanting to resolve the issue. Rather unprofessional. I then went home and registered for the Sim swap online and understand it takes around 4 business hours however I am hoping this is the case or my entire experience with resigning is going to be quite bleak. I do not understand why in this day and age I need to be waiting over 24 hours (potentially more) for my phone on the same network, with the same number, to work.
